I'm glad you're here! My name is Jo and I am the owner of The Tennessee Artist.

I am the interior designer and co-owner of airbnb's around the Nashville area, and a photographer because I love telling stories through visual art. 

​

Becoming a mother at age 19, and adopting 3 children at age 20, lit a fire inside me that drove me to take my career and their futures seriously. Ironically, I am naturally more of an artist. Leave me at an easel, with a camera, sitting at the piano or in a fixer upper, and I can easily see the beauty life has to offer.

Growing up in the south with a family of country musicians planted a seed in my soul that drew me to appreciate the American West and all things country.

Now, my art, interior design and photography are heavily inspired by the spirit of the West—its solitude,  strength, and its undeniable beauty.
